EYFS – ‘It might snow in Winter, I love snow’.
KS1- ‘We picked up rubbish for our ‘Seaside Day’. We helped the environment; we don’t want it going in the sea because we’d get germs.’
KS2- ‘I remember learning about the mouth of the river, where it joins the sea, and deltas where we get lots of sandbanks, like in the Nile.’
The aim of geography at Weobley Primary is to develop the children’s knowledge of the world around them, from the local area to the wider world. By studying their local environment and other areas, children learn about people and places and the relationships between them. They come to understand the physical and human processes and patterns present in these environments, and they can learn to appreciate the similarities and differences between places and people.
