Through the teaching of Religious Education, we want every child to develop an understanding of the diverse religious beliefs and worldviews held by others. By fostering this understanding, we aim for all children to leave our school recognising the importance of respect, empathy and acceptance in leading a fulfilled and happy life.

We aim to nurture children’s curiosity about different beliefs and traditions, encouraging them to explore and reflect on their own cultural, spiritual, moral and social values.

We also aim to enable pupils to understand how religious beliefs and worldviews influence people’s choices, behaviours and ways of life. By developing respect for those with beliefs different from their own, pupils will become more aware of their own values and beliefs, empowering them to make informed choices about their own spiritual and cultural journey.
